The assignment for Dutch World Bikes from Rotterdam was; look for a Gazelle ladies bike in the color blue and if possible with rod brakes. Not easy but not impossible either. A week later we found the right bike in an old garage. A Gazelle Sport E (very rare), blue with gray mudguards and cable brakes. After some minor adjustments, we were able to convert these to rod brakes. In the back of course the whisper-quiet Zehus GEN2 hub. A textbook example of the quality and design of that time. The bike had a lot of user tracks, but that is precisely what makes it a real Dutch World Bike! Rotterdam is another attraction richer!
